Winter in Northwest Pa

It's that time of year again. I can't say as I love the subzero temperatures, several feet of snow, feeling like a shut it, wet winter clothes, or breaking ice from buckets in the barn. But I love the beauty of winter. I love the way the snow glistens like diamonds, when the sun shines on it. I adore watching our animals and children, as they run and jump through the mounds of snow. And the beauty of the white, powder covered trees after a snow storm.

My absolute favorite part of winter though, is time spent behind the team, whether it's bobsledding or hauling manure. It's a beautiful time to watch them work and to be outside, enjoying God's creation. We have gone two winters without a team, or at least one that was old enough to enjoy these things with. This winter our team if finally old enough to be driven and now it's SNOWING!! This winter, I'm choosing to focus on the positive and praise God for the beautiful snow and the possibilities that it brings.
